The residents of Barangays San Mateo and Minuyan in Norzagaray, Bulacan will be able to find relief from the summer heat by turning on their electric fans and getting ice cold water from their refrigerators, because they finally have electricity in their homes. This is all thanks to the completion of the project between Republic Cement, Meralco, and the LGU Norzagaray that broke ground in 2017. It had prepared the way for future electrification of the barangays and now the people are finally connected to the grid.
For an area that has been in the dark for too long because they didn’t have power, the gift of light and electricity is a lasting legacy that will touch the lives of people in the community and generations to come.
