Lusog Tibay in Bulacan

Nutrition should begin at home.

This is why we partnered with the mothers of Norzagaray, Bulacan to help nourish their children, not only physically but also mentally and spiritually.

Over 200 parents and teachers made their way to the GK Enchanted Farm to attend “Lusog Tibay”, an educational caravan which aims to influence parents to adopt a healthier and more nutritious lifestyle for their family, with a special focus on our Kusina ng Kalinga beneficiary schoolchildren in Bulacan.

The Lusog Tibay caravan educated the parents on proper health and nutrition, lifestyle changes, and healthy habits that encourage and promote holistic family health and wellbeing. The activity featured a cooking demonstration from a GK-nominated chef, who shared a quick and affordable nutrition-packed recipe to the moms and an inspirational talk from celebrity chef and nutrition advocate Bettinna Carlos, who shared about her experience as a mom.

The program culminated with an oath-taking ceremony, which marked the community’s collective commitment to live out what they learned on proper health and nutrition and, ultimately, to help nourish their children’s dreams.

The Lusog Tibay program was also rolled out in Batangas in 2017. We intend to roll it out in other areas as we see this partnership with the parents and the community as one of the keys in nourishing stronger kids for a stronger Republic.
