DENR Secretary Visits Batangas Plant, Inaugurates New AF Shredding Facility

DENR Secretary Loyzaga joins the inauguration of Batangas Plant’s new AF shredding facility

Last July 1, Batangas Plant was proud to host DEN Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo Loyzaga for the inauguration of the new AF shredding facility. AEV CEO Sabin Aboitiz, Republic Cement CEO Roman Menz, ecoloop Director Atty. Angela Edralin-Valencia, as well as our Mancom were also present to tour our guests around the plant.

Sec. Loyzaga participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new Alternative Fuel Shredding Facility, which is part of Republic Cement's efforts to strengthen our waste-to-fuel co-processing operation.

Through co-processing and other environmental initiatives, Republic Cement continues to be stalwart in our commitment to achieve lifelong sustainability as we build a Stronger Republic.

Sec. Loyzaga visited the Vista de Cantera, where visitors can view the quarry and our various reforestation projects.

Rev. Fr. Julius Lacaran, the Parish Priest for San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish, presided over the blessing of the new AF shredding facility.
