PBA Legends still spell magic on the court

Excitement filled the air at the town fiesta at Teresa, Rizal, as Republic Cement sponsored a basketball game between several legendary PBA greats who teamed up with Republic’s own dribblers to play against the Teresa Miners team, made up of local cagers.

The court in the town plaza overflowed with basketball enthusiasts, both young and old, including those who were too young to witness firsthand the legendary magical skills on the court of “The Triggerman” Allan Caidic,“The Captain” Alvin Patrimonio, “The Skyscraper” Marlou Aquino, “The Flying A” Johnny Abarrientos, “The Tank” Noli Locsin, Kenneth Duremdes and Bal David.

Beefing up the Legends Team were players from Republic Cement, JC Santiago, Philip Urbano, James Padua, Gyro Aguinaldo, Francis Gregorio, and two Republic Plant Managers - Glenn Bering of Republic Bulacan and Manny Amante of Republic Norzagaray.

Representing their home barangays were the star players of Teresa Miners led by former PBA player Kelvin Gregorio, Lennon Espiritu Santo, Kevin Dave Francisco, Danielle Fernando, and Patrick Jay Pantaleon.

In between obliging requests for photos and signing autographs, the Legends, their Republic teammates, and the Teresa Miners played a hard and fast game to the delight of the crowd that filled the rafters and spilled over to the rooftops of the neighboring houses.

What a memorable day it was for our community in Teresa! Kudos to the Team that organized the event.
